That were
the first years of the Seventies. His first album
recorded with the prestigious grouping titled sentimental
and it turned him to be immediately one of the most
popular singers of the country.
The recordcompany KUBANEY contracted him like exclusive
artist by a term of 10 years, time during which the
artist recorded ten LP's in different cities of America.
At the end of 1979 Anthony Ríos retired from the Combo
Show to form, together with Luis Martí, the orchestra El
Sonido Original, with whom he recorded two LP's like
solist for the Alga Record company, and it was then that
the world absored him from the television, to which he
would dedicate great part of his time.
In 1993 he produced his album number nineteen, Boleros
como ayer, with which he happened to comprise with the
company Juan & Nelson Records. In 1996 he recorded
with KUBANEY his album number twenty, titled In bachatas
and made debut in the cinema, when participating in the
movie Dominican New Yol III.
In 1998 he produced its LP number 21 with BY... P
PUBLISHING AND/OR MONTAÑO RECORD, that was titled El
gran homenaje a Odilio (El Jibarito Lares).
As a composer, Anthony Ríos stood out to be author of
almost all the songs that were sung, many of which are
given to the world in its own voice and the one of other
vocalistas making famous, like Sophy, Lisette Alvarez,
Yolandita Monge, Pernando Beyond and Shepherd Lopez,
among others. For the Dominican television he has made
the programs El Show de Luisito y Anthony, El Show de
Mediodía y Cuentos y Cantas .
