Nearby the Swan Valley is a restaurant where one can find pizza created by the 2005 winner of the America's Plate, an international competition to determine the world's best gourmet pizza maker. Perth is clean and beautiful, but by far, its best attraction is the great weather and it's beautiful beaches. It has one of the bluest skies you will ever see. Perth is the gateway to the rest of Western Australia, which ranges from the rugged Kimberley region in the far north of the state, through the vast Pilbara region to the wheat growing areas of the midlands and on to the forests and temperate farmlands of the South West of the state. You can trek the outback, fish for marlin, swim with whales, enjoy some of the best surfing in the world, prospect for gold at Kalgoorlie and explore the huge forests, plus participate in many other activities around the state.
