Jerash is a must see. Well-preserved 2 000-year-old Greco-Roman ruins are the reason to come. Hundreds of columns, temples, a theater and streets are worth a detour.

Jerash which was discovered in the 1920s and the ruins are in excellent shape. Before the excavations Jerash was primarily a Circassian town. Some of the inhabitants actually had their houses in the ruins.

Triple-arched gateway

This triple arched gateway is a great Kodak opportunity.Hadrian Arch dates back to 116 BC. It was built to commomorate a visit by emperor Hadrian to Jerash. Ushering in a time of prosperity into the city, Known as Gerasa at that time.

Artemis was the Goddess of chastity, protectress of nature and children.Often seen in the forests and lakes in the company of Nymphs. The temple was built on an area covering 34,000 m square, overlooking the city.
