Corregidor island, a small island situated at the mouth of Manila Bay. From this point can be seen Bataan and Manila. The place where The Philippines and US army take defense action against Japanese in the World War II. A place which made General Douglas MacArthur telling his famous statement, "I shall return."

The name of Corregidor taken from Spanish 'corregir', means to correct.

Here can be found several museums, Malinta Tunnel, heroes cemetery and Pacific War Memorial also the ruins of barracks and heavy duty ammunitions during the war.

Corregidor can be reached from Manila and Bataan for daytrip.

General MacArthur's Monument

General Douglas MacArthur monument with his left hand waving and carved there 'I shall return'. It's like a welcome monument for everyone who enter Corregidor island.

Long barracks and the machine guns

The barracks, batteries and machine guns becomes landmarks of Corregidor. The buildings remains ruins but those are very popular objects in photography whenever visit Corregidor.

Pacific War Memorials

Remind the visitors to Pearl Harbour Memorials in Hawaii. Here, US and Philippines governments built the memorial to commemorate US-Filipino armies in the World War II. Especially who took battle in Corregidor. In front can be found Brother in Arms monument and at the top of the hills can be seen the eternal flame monument.

Filipino Memorials and Museum

This is a historical Filipinos [Pinoy] memorials and museum. In front can be found the monument of President Quezon with the flag. Further afield can be found the museum of Filipinos.

Completed with old pictures of the Filipinos heroes. Such as Jose Rizal and Norman Reyes. Norman Reyes or Normando Ildefonso Reyes was a journalist and radioman who supported the morals of the Filipinos during World War II by broadcast live from Corregidor. Malinta Tunnel

Malinta tunnel is a lateral tunnel where the soldiers take defense during World War II. It's about 1,500 personels in the tunnel and alleys. To enjoy the tunnel, can join Light and Show of Malinta Tunnel during the trip to Corregidor.

Join the Sun Cruise about php1,569 - php1,669 per pax. The ship leaving CCP Manila harbour at Roxas Boulevard in the morning and back from Corregidor about 3.30pm in the evening.
