acapulco

jose antonio lima
Going "loco" in Acapulco, that's what visitors of the beach resort come to do. And if you're into that kind of thing, it's the perfect place. There are great beaches, the water is always warm, and the sun always shines.? But when it doesn't, there's always nightlife until it rises again.

You would probably not expect this, but the city of Acapulco goes back about 2000 years ago. It was founded by the Nahua Indians who were the predecessors of the Aztecs. When Cortes arrived in Mexico, Acapulco was an important trading post.

Hotel Los Flamingos

Formerly owned by the legendary John Wayne and others from the old Hollywood gang the likes of Cary Grant, Errol Flynn, Johnny Weismeuller (Tarzan) and many others regularly spent time in this hotel. This hotel is perched on a cliff 500 above the sea offering amazing sunsets in the winter months when the sun sets over the water.

There are photographs lined along the hotels walls of the old movie stars & on Thursdays POZOLE day they provide live music . This hotel is older & rustic in the older part of town does not get the guests it used to but a more..

La Quebrada - Acapulco Cliff Drivers
Edit This

"Not to be missed" heart stopping entertainment! For generations, brave young men from Acapulco have hurled themselves off the majestic cliffs jutting out over the Pacific Ocean. These fearless fellows dive into a narrow inlet where huge waves enter and crash over the rocks. The timing of their dives is crucial and must be perfectly executed due to the dangerous water conditions below. Contact the Mirador Hotel ( tel. 483-1155 ) to reserve on the terrace of the hotel where the view is the best. Shows begin at 7:30 P.M. everyday.
